 | IntroductionGreenVision, the expertise centre for image processing in the agro- and food industry, is a joint venture formed by research groups of Wageningen-UR. It has been set up to provide the technology and knowledge needed by producers and suppliers in the area of image processing and vision systems. BackgroundGreenVision possesses comprehensive knowledge in the area of system integration and technology development and has product- and process knowledge to implement innovations together with industries In addition, it has good networking with universities, knowledge organisations and engineering companies within and outside The Netherlands. GreenVision therefore plays a pivoting role in the coordination of supply and demand of such knowledge and technololgy. The setting up of GreenVision is a joint initiative of the former Agrotechnological Research Institute (ATO), Institute of Agricultural & Environmental Engineering (IMAG) and Plant Research International (PRI). The fusion of ATO and IMAG in 2003 has resulted in Agrotechnology and Food Innovations. |
